Philadelphia, PA - Chez Colette, located in the Sofitel Philadelphia at 17th and Sansom Streets, is pleased to announce that it is the proud recipient of the prestigious 2003 AAA Four Diamond  award in recognition of the superior quality of the French brasserie's cuisine, service and decor.

One of only a dozen Four-Diamond restaurants in downtown Philadelphia, Chez Colette is an intimate, casually elegant restaurant reminiscent of the 1930's south of France.

AAA annually evaluates more than 14,000 restaurants for overall quality and level of services. Ratings are awarded on five scales from AAA One Diamond to AAA Five Diamond. Four- Diamond restaurants ~impart a luxurious and socially refined experience," according to AAA. ~Restaurants of this caliber are geared to individuals with an appetite for an elite, fine-dining experience."

 Colette-Kurth Fischer Executive Chef Sylvain Harribey, with Chez Colette since its May 2000 opening, has created a menu that achieves the important balance between accessible cuisine affordable for frequent dining and stimulating flavors for the most discerning of palates. Under the guidance of Kurt Fischer, president of the world's most esteemed gastronomic association, Confrérie de Ia Chaine des Rotisseurs, and professor at the famed culinary institution Johnson and Wales University, Harribey has infused a modern French flair to Chez Colette's menu, mastering the art of French cooking accented with light, popular flavors and modern ingredients.

Freshly baked breads from the in-house bakery are served with each meal, including a daily rotation of 11 flavored breads such as apple, lemon, herbs and onion. Chez Colette's pastry chefs are trained by the internationally acclaimed chefs at Lenôtre, a world-class caterer of French gastronomy known internationally through an affiliation of 37 gourmet shops. Lenôtre embodies the art of entertaining "a la française."

The restaurant serves breakfast from 6:00 a.rn.- 11:30 a.m., lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., and dinner is available from 5:00 p.m.-11 :00 p.m, and the lobby lounge is open from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 am. The dining room has a seating capacity of 94 and the lobby lounge seats 44.
